I have an exterior entry way to my frontdoor and the ceiling material is textured drywall. The problem is we have wasps who build mud nests that can only be pressure washed off. The drywall ceiling can't take the pressure wash. What material can I use to replace the drywall ceiling?

Standard for this is exterior plywood with
two coats of good exterior paint.

I would use 1/4" AC fir plywood for this "soffit".
You could also replace it with either a vinyl or aluminum vented soffit that will never rot or need paint!
