Hello and good to day,
I recently purchased and old house. The inside walls are wood slats, no plaster at all, not wainscoating. In one of the rooms where a door used to be someone put up a piece of drywall, hideous looking. Since all the wood slats are full length with the wall, horizontal, I am going to replace them with like. My question is what type of wood is this most likely. The boards are about 2 inches wide and about 1 inch thick. This is just for general knowledge, I will replace them with whatever fits and matches up. The house is located in north carolina and was built around 1910. Thanks for any info.
