I am in the process of remodeling my kitchen. The soffits were so far out of level that I decided to tear them out.
I broke a test hole through the soffits to see what was behind them before tearing them out. There is no finished wall/ceiling behind the soffit on the exterior wall; just the cinder block wall and the ceiling joists.
What is the best way to attach drywall to the cinder blocks? Can I use drywall screws and pre-drill the holes or is there another method that will work better?
Thanks,
Mark

You cannot apply drywall directly to any
concrete product unless you want to see an
excellent example of drywalls moisture absorbing properties. More info is needed to
recommend a solution.
