I WANT TO TEAR DOWN A WALL BETWEEN TWO BEDROOMS TO MAKE ONE LARGER BEDROOM. THE ROOMS ARE ON THE SECOND FLOOR. HOW CAN I TELL IF IT OK TO REMOVE THE WALL? HOW EASY IS IT TO JOIN THE CEILING? WHERE CAN I GET DETAIL INFOMATION?

If the wall is a bearing wall, leave it in place. If it runs in the same direction as the ridge on the roof, assume that it is a bearing wall. If it runs in the same direction as the ceiling joists above it, it is not a bearing wall, and can removed safely and fairly easily. Patching the sheetrock on the ceiling where the wall used to be shouldn't be that big of a thing. But if you have any doubts about your ability to tackle the project, get a few estimates from contractors. If you have any further questions, please post them.
