We have been in our home for about a year now, and the textured ceiling is breaking loose, and has actually peeled away in many areas. This mainly occurs during painting or any moist areas of the home. I have since discovered that this ceiling texture was done as a "cover-up". I would like to take it down, and can't seem to find the proper chemicals to do so with.. I saw it done on a "Home Savvy" show one time, but didn't think to make note of the name. Can anyone help with this product? I simply don't want to paint it all off, LOL.

Please let us know the age of your house. It could possibly have asbestos in the popcorn, and this would make a great deal of difference on what we tell you. Thanks

Jack,
Our house was built in the mid to late 70's. Do we got trouble?

Thanks,

Nikki
