Hello,
I am looking for some information on how to build an outdoor fireplace. I have searched the web and I have just come up with books that you have to buy or actual fireplaces that you have to buy.
My husband's friend has asked me to search for this for him.
Does anyone know of any links/websites that may have instructions on what kind of materials to use etc. etc. etc.??
I am assuming you would have to buy some sort of high heat cement???
Help!

Loribee,
Best thing to do is buy a book. It is difficult to purchase plans to build a fireplace and in most municipalities, this will require a permit.
Pre-builts, i.e. mexican fireplace is considered acceptable and as you have seen is not what most folks want.
One resource that is often overlooked is your local library.
Good luck in your search.
