I am installing glueless laminate flooring in the living room. I have a door in the floor that leads to the cellar/basement. Previously, the whole floor and door was covered with carpet, and the door looked like part of the floor (the door is flush with the floor - made out of the same subfloor). What is the best way to handle this? I have 3 hinges to deal with, and 5 bolt heads to cover. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

not sure you will be able to accomplish the same thing with laminate as with the carpet. The problem is going to be the interferebce of the door with the added heighth of the flooring, maybe frame around the door and then put a new piece of carpet on the door
