I have wood paneling half way up on the walls in my garage.What would be the best way to spruce up this paneling?Could I paint it?What kind of paint should I use.Could I use a stain?

There are several thread on painting paneling. You may want to search them. Lots of information on how to paint, and whether or not to fill grooves. I've filled the grooves and painted in my kitchen and hallway (paneling was only half way up, like yours.) But I'm leaving the grooves in my great room. Will start on it as soon as decide on new hardwood floors. Might as well mess up the old carpet with paint first.:D
