OK, Gas Dryer, Electronic Control,
Kenmore 110.76955690
Ignitor will not light but.....

Voltage for Ignitor comes from a relay found under control panel.
By passing relay causes dryer to work.

I checked the input to relay from control board. 0VDC and 0VAC
Followed directions for troubleshooting contained in papers found in dryer.

So far I changed...
Ignitor, Coils, Flame Sensor, Thermal Fuse, Thermistor and control board.

Voltages to Control board from Transformer good 10VAC

Checked Low Voltage door switch also. Continuity good as well as voltage to both contacts.

Now what? Tried to contact Whirlpool but, could not help being a Kenmore. They Made it!! ;)

Thanks..

Hello: Stitches

Hummm....difficult. Reading your question several times.

If you changed out the board and there still is no current to the relay, it may have to be determined if the relay does not get the current directly from that board. Some part in between the two.

If bypassing the replay allowed the dryer to operate, why wasn't the relay replaced first and the dryer tested for operation? Or was it? If so, what was the results?

How did the dryer operate by simply bypassing the relay, if there was no current to the relay to bypass?...

Ignitor would not light but....but what????...

After changing out all those parts and the result all failed has me wondering what was done incorrectly during installation maybe?

Bypassing the relay caused the dryer to work. Work how? Normally with heat and able to dry clothes???

Well, the input to the relay does come from the board.
12vdc, this voltage switches the relay on.
By shorting the switched contacts on the relay, the dryer will heat, glow bar lights, gas comes on. Thats what lead to the control board. It is not suppling the 12vdc needed to switch the relay. Since I did swap the control board, and the board does have its 10VAC power supply, I have to assume it (Board) is good but now have to figure out which component is not letting the control board turn on the relay. I see that if the Thermister was bad, that would cause it not to come on but, it had been changed also.
I knew this was going to be a hard fix when I changed all the parts and still dont work..

Thanks..
