Its still a couple of months away,but I will be putting my own hardwood down.I am going to mix oak,cherry,and maple.I'm finishing it myself and want to only oil finish it with no sanding.What does that involve and how durable is it for the wood?This is in a farm house with only me and my 10 year old son witch means lots of dirt and dust.I figured the oil finish will be more forgiving with the scratches,but what can I expect with stains?
