I have an old furnace chimey (all brick) that runs up through my finished attic. The attic was converted into the master bedroom and I was wondering if there was a way to convert that old furance chimney into a small fireplace in the attic? Is it possible? Horribly expensive?

It's possible but in these cases, I suggest having a fireplace installer look at current conditions and give you some ideas on cost within your loal area.
