I am installing laminate thru-out my home so far so good. oops I have ran into a small glitch. All of my planks are longer than 8'' on the end cuts but at my ending wall I am slightly tappered. My final row will be more than 2'' wide in some places and due to the wall being slightly bowed / room out of square some will be less then 2'' wide what kind of problem will this cause. thanks for any info you can give me.

This is a problem, sorry for that. About the only way to correct the problem is to pick up your hard work and start over. Others who read this and haven't started their floor, take note. Measure the room before you start and start with a narrow plank of about the width that the last plank will be. In other words start with a 4" plank and finish with similar rather than wind up like this. It will look better but more important it will be stronger.

to redo the room would not really be a option at this time. I have gone from my dinning room into my living room and into my faimly room with out a transition/ t-molding. The area where I am less than 2'' is the back wall of my family room. This is the wall my big screen tv sits along with my dvd/cd collection and media center not much of the base board is seen on that wall so visually it will not be a problem. You stated it would be a weak spot how will this be affected being a back wall not a traffic area. Am I still making my floor weak and if so what type of problems would I be setting myself up for. Thanks for the last response.

Ummmmmm. What is the product and how large is the area? What is the longest "run". The last remarks are reason for pause.

I think what AzFred is becoming concerned with is whether your room is too large to install without transitions. Most laminate mfg.'s have limits as to how large a floor can be without transitions. Also flowing through small doorways or other narrow areas is usually not recommended. This all has to do with the laminate's expansion. Laminates are very touchy about their expansion. If I were you I would call Witex's tech help number 1-866 WITEXUS (1-866-948-3987).
