One of my daughters would like to have her ceiling painted like the sky with clouds. Any counsel on how to do this or where to find information on painting sky/clouds? I will need to clarify with her about the look she envisions for the clouds. :)

The easiest way to do clouds is to paint the blue first, then use a white glaze and a natural sponge to do the clouds. You can add other colors to the clouds if you want to get fancy - like gray or purple or pink. Do the clouds by layering coats of glaze - the first coat is the basic shape of the clouds, and following coats add definition. The more colors and coats you use, the more natural the clouds will look.
If you mess up, mix some of the blue paint in the glaze and use the sponge to paint over the mistake.

Hey -
I did this in my son's room - I cheated and found a cloud painting kit at Homeless Depot for about $15 - it was kind of expensive for what you got - a woolie, a tray with 3 compartments a sponge "tool" and a video....
The method was easy... put up some paint (white) then hit it with the woolie, then accept with some darker color if you want (light gray in my case) hit that with the woolie...
have fun - you can always paint over it....
