My condenser fan for the SEARS central air unit is stopped, i tried to put oil in the motor and turn it, it run but very slow. The blower run but I don't have cool air. Is my motor burn out or I don't have enough freon in the system. How do I know?

you are seeing a problem with the fan, i would look there first. test the capacitor, could very well be the bearings on the motor.

You can check the fan bearings by trying to move the shaft.
If you can feel any side to side play the bearings are worn.

Thanks
I look it again when the fan stopped, the motor smoking. so it must be the condenser motor burn out.

Did you put the oil in a small hole on the side of the motor or by chance in the windings?

I put oil in the oil well on top of the motor after I removed the oil plug..

Thats good.
Just making sure oil didn't get in the windings to cause the smoke.
Is there play in the shaft?
