I want to reface or give my fireplace a new look. We will
possibly be selling our lake front home and have a red-ish
brick fireplace in the family room what can I do to make it
look a bit snapper for propective buyers. I do not want to
list with a realtor and I need advice. Thank you very much,

handylady,
Good idea is to put up wonderboard (cement board) over the brick, then decide on possible tile, marble is a good choice with mantle over the top and maybe half round columns down the side, accented with molding this would give you a new look.
Good Luck!
