Hi Folks,
I believe there's just a coat of white primer on this kitchen beadboard- but it might be a coat of latex? In either case- the knots from the pine/wood are leaking through.
Would you suggest I use a primer and then repaint w/latex- or just paint a 2nd coat of semigloss latex. It's in a kitchen/lower part of the walls.
Thanks!

It will be best to seal the knots with a sealer primer, such as Zinsser 123 or Kilz. The knots bleeding through often take two coats of primer to stop them altogether. Simply painting over them will not prevent the repeated bleeding through the finish.

Hope this helps.
