Hi, I have damaged drywall from wallpaper being stripped incorrectly. I know i need to prime then repair, but with what type of primer?(Kilz?) and how to repair so i can paint the room and not have the wallpaper? Can you step me through this process? Thank you so much for your time and advice!

Refer to this page (http://www.wallpaperinstaller.com/wallpaper_preparation.html) of my website for advice. It talks about wallpaper prep, but the steps for repair and proper primers are the same. The primer you want to use is one of the new primer/sealer types. DO NOT use Kilz. If you have any further questions, please let me know and good luck!

The product I have had great success for damaged drywall paper is a product called guardz from zinszer. It drys clear and hardens up that area for compound or spackling. hope this helps :)
