Yet another question...
In this home I just bought it has the original windows (home is 30yrs, old).
The windows are the wood type with aluminum tracks. It has the storm windows that could be just slid to the top and stored there. And can slide up and lock in various positions. The screens slide up and down also. (just trying to explain the type of window)
Anyway, these windows are in PERFECT condition.....I mean these are one of the most impressive things about the home. Every one opens fine, all storms and screens are there.
BUT......
The windows need to be painted. Some are just stained dark (I first thought thats why they work so good....no paint buildup.)
But some are painted and let me say whoever did the painting did an excellent job. None of the aluminum tracks even come close to having a sliver of paint on them. They must of disassembled them??
We were going to hire this out and may still. I just dread painting these windows and screwing up the way they work.
Any tips on this???
Maybe tape off and spray??
Disassemble??
