Any clever uses for sawdust?

Larger wood shavings (like from a planer) may come in handy for helping remove a chemical stripper during a refinishing job.

My fine sawdust just fills the voids in my plastic trash bags.

I put mine in the compost heap or in the mulch lagoon.

1. Good on oil spills.

If this was not a rhetorical question and you're trying to figure out how to get rid of a bunch of it - find someone with horses; they'll know what to do with it.

neither horses nor your plants will like walnut. so keep walnut waste away from rest of the stuff.

You can put sawdust in the bottom of deep planters to fill in some space so you don't waste as much potting soil.

You can also spread bigger pieces around you yard in bare spots as mulch, to keep moisture in and to keep the rain from washing your grass seeds and stuff away.

You can also put the sawdust in the bottom of your kitchen trash can (not in the bag) to soak up and liquids that may gather there.
