I need a ground cover that will quickly fill in the areas between my clumping perennials and keep the wire grass at bay.

What will work better and faster on the wire grass is mulch and landscape fabric. Then add the ground cover.

Will the groundcover be able to get a hold through the landscape fabric? I have been considering using it but had plans to propegate the plants periodically by cutting holes in the stuff.
