Hi,
I have a 5 year old Clematis Plant in my back yard that i have noticed wilts sometimes, but not from lack of water.
It's in full sun, has fertilizer and has mulch around the roots.
I thought at first that it was because it needed water, but it doesn't perk up even after watering.
Is it possible that it's just too hot in the area i have it?
I have absolutely no tree's in my backyard so it's in full sun for most of the day.
if you could help me i would appreciate it.

Make sure the roots are cool. I have some 12" plants that provide shade and I have never had a problem with wilt. Hope that helps.

thanks, i actually added a bit more soil around the base and put more mulch down and that has helped.
