Hello Baboo,

Actually 'sealer' is a misnomer. We can help protect the wood but we can't really seal it. That would take a total coating on all six sides of each board.
So, we can apply coatings with water repellancy, and UV prohibitors. Consumers Report has done tests and the top three they tested were oil base Cabots, Sikkens, and Wolmans F&P. In addition to these, the professionals are also using Superdeck, Ready Seal, Menwood, and TWP. Life expextancy is from two to possibly three years on a properly cleand/brightened deck. Make sure the deck is well cleaned and dry before coating.
