Toilet will not fully flush. The bowl remains full while the tank empties out completely. Please help because I am to have guest over on Sunday!

Get a plumber's auger (3' crank handle with a short "snake") and clear out the toilet. A toilet acts as its own trap, and it is easy to plug up with even too much paper. If the auger doesn't clear it, you may have to pull the toilet and try to auger it out from underneath. It could be a child's plastic toy hung up or anything. Good Luck!

Have you tried the good ol' plumber's helper? Use a bulb-ended plunger - they work great. Try the simple things first before you go thru the mess of using an auger.
