We need to replace the 'surround' in our main bath-currently it is vinly flooring put in by the previous owner-and are wondering about tileboard. Does it last, is there a difference in the durability between the solid plastic and the plastic covered, and are there any tricks in installing it? Thanks for any help!

Tile board woul be a big improvment over vinyl flooring. Put it on with an adhesive like 'Liquid Nails for Tub Surrounds' and seal any joints and the corners with 100% silicon caulking.
