I want to install my shower on the tiled floor in the basement. My plan is to bust up the cement and run abs from the roughed in drain to a new location. The new location is about 10 inches away. Is it a good idea to leave the cement busted up after I am finished or should I re-cement over the busted up cement and cover the abs? You won't see it since the shower base will cover it. Thank you in advanced for your help!!

This "new location" you will be running the shower drain to -- is it a 2" drain line, or just a 1-1/2" drain? If it is 2", you're fine, but if it is only 1-1/2", you could have problems. A shower is required to have a 2" drain line, and that requirement has a reason. As far as replacing the concrete, 2 or 3 sacks of Redi-Mix should be plenty to replace what you take out. While it's in a spot that isn't visible, the shower pan will love you if you provide it with proper support! (And since it isn't visible, a broom finish won't be needed!)
