I understand there is some sort of Slurry, 1 to 2 inches thick, that can be applied to concrete, and that they can put patterns into this covering. I am trying to cover an old flat patio with a new look. Anyone know exactly what this is called?
I don't think it is cement based, I believe iit is some cort of polymer.
Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You.

sid2jynx,
This is considered "Resurfacing".
Some companies install resin-modified cementious concrete coatings systems that simulate brick, stone, tile, slate, and epoxy floors.
The process typically involves three steps.
First, the surface is prepared to ensure permanent bonding of the coating to the existing concrete.
Next, the concrete coating is applied. High-quality polymer modified cements, epoxy material, and/or coatings, which are hand- troweled 1/8- to ¼-inch thick and then color-tinted, are usually used.
Finally, a sealer coat is applied to lock in lasting beauty.
Check your local phonebook for who provides this service.
Hope this helps!
