You could if your comfortable working w/ gas line, and KNOWS what you are doing.. Also check with your local code to see if you are allowed to do this yourself at all.

You can contact your local plumbing co, or a heating and A/C dealer and they can do gas piping for your home..

Hello Patrick. Welcome to my Gas Appliances forum and our Do-It-Yourself Web Site.

I am not a plumber. Therefore I cannot professional offer you gas piping installation advice. I also doubt anyone in this forum can or should. The project is a specialized trade field best left to pros.

I suggest you contact 1 or 2 plumbers whom specialize in this field of plumbing and get their suggestions and advice before proceding with this project. Opinions how to accomplish the project and cost may vary widely.

I also highly suggest obtaining the advice of your local building & safety department. There are strict codes and laws pertaining to how gaslines are to be installed, what materials must be used and what pipe size to use in every situation. Also contact the local gas supply utility.

Failure to adhere to local building and safety codes, installing the wrong pipe size and doing the project incorrectly can cause major grief in the future.

Unprofessional installation as a do it yourself project, installation by a non licensed plumbing contractor or handyman person may also void homeowners insurance, etc.
