What is a good mix on gas/oil for weedeaters (50:1).
Are there much diff. between brands or just common 2 cycle.

If this is a Weedeater brand trimmer it should be the same as my Craftsman which is 40:1. Weedeater makes trimmers for Sears and there is mix instructions right on the trimmer that says it is 40:1.
There are a lot of different mixes for the different brands of trimmers. You should try to find a manual for you machine to be sure what the mix is.

Hello Mrblue!

I agree with Roger...different trimmers call for different mixture ratios. Smokeless 2cycle oil, or synthetic 2cycle oil would be the best choice. Many trimmers use 40:1 ratio, but not all.

thanks, I will see what i cant find out on them.
One is a Homelite(pretty sure), and the other a Snapper.

Called home-lite tech help and they said 32:1,
talked to a dealer of snapper stuff and claimed 40:1 on it.
