I submitted deck plans from the Home Depot to our township and they were rejected due to a lack of detail.
Does anyone know if a software program that will give very detailed drawings such as joist spacing, etc.
The Home Depot program states that they are on 16" centers, but the drawing does not show this and the township is being a huge PITA.
Thanks

I think the township is simply asking that your drawings show exactly how the deck is to be built, including dimensions, so that the plan checker can see that everything is per code, and so that the inspector can verify that it is put together according to those plans. You call it being a PITA -- I say they are just doing their job.
Ther is software out there that will do what you are asking, but unless you are going to design decks for a living, I doubt that it would be worth the cost to you. For one deck, draw it on paper.
