HOW CAN I TEST MY LAWNTRACTOR SPARK PLUG TO KNOW IF IT IS STILL GOOD? THANKS:eek:

Remove the spark plug from the engine, then connect the wire to the end and hold the threaded end of the spark plug to the block, and turn the engine over as if you were going to start it. You should see a nice yellow/blue spark. If you don't get a spark, then you need to clean and regap the plug. If that don't work, then you need a new plug. Keep in mind that to keep from getting a quick shock, hold the wire, not the plug. It's not much of a danger, but more of a suprise. :D

My .02:

If you suspect you have a bad spark plug, change it. It is a maintenance, not a failure part. Sets you back a whopping $2.

thanks for info.......i had plan to replace but wanted to know how to check spark plugs...............................
