Last week all of a sudden I lost 3 small Koi fish from my pond...nowhere to be found. It seems that my neighbour's cat ate them.

What do I do to prevent this from happening again?

Is your koi pond deep enough by koi standards to allow the fish to keep out of reach?

Here is some information I found on koi and predators.

My pond is about a foot deep. I think it needs to be atleast 18" deep. Mine is pre-fabricated. So I can not do anything about depth, unless I throw that out and either get deep pond or build one.
