I have found this stuff that is comprised of polymer and plastic I think. It is designed for outside use because it wont rott, but I want to use it inside. The size is perfect and the design on it is great. Is there any reason I cant paint it with an oil paint and put it up in the livingroom?

It should do well indoors. Check with the label for painting information.
