I was wondering how much of a chore it is to replace 2 porch posts. The old ones have a bit of wood rot. Does anyone know of the proper steps to replace them and what kind of posts would you suggest? Thanks in advance!

Need to properly support whatever these posts are holding up first, then start replacing the posts with like kind or better posts, one at a time. How much of a chore depends on how the posts are attached, top and bottom, and what, besides the posts may be rotten.
