Last weekend I purchased this bare root, ornamental, flowering plum tree. I have 2 questions.

- how long should I wait before it starts sprouting leaves?
- when I plant it should I remove the burlap bag around the roots?

also, on a side note...can tulip bulbs only be planted in the fall?

thanks,
shawn

If this is a bare root tree, what burlap are you meaning?

I always think of planting bare root trees in the winter, just before the buds come out in spring.

Here is a site with some straight information on bare root trees.

Hope this helps.
