How can I remove a broken wooden handle from a shovel? I bought a replacement handle at Home Depot. It even comes with a hand grip. I just have to remove the end attached to the shovel. thanx.

Shovel handles can be held on in one of several ways. Some are merely jammed into the shovel head, others have a rivet crosswise to hold it in place. If there's any handle left to hold and no hardware holding it in place, simply hold the handle and smack the shovel end with a hammer. If it's broken off flush, you may need to do some drilling to get the end piece out of the shovel head in pieces.
