I am not sure whether you work with handtools or powertools mostly. depending on that what you expect from a workbench will change. If you are looking for traditional style workbench, here is a good place to get you started. you will also find links to other people's workbenchs from there.

yeah. you and me both :). I have slowly started collecting handtools however & may end up building similar tool cabinet to house them. mind you, my tools collection is nowhere near that of his.
