I am planning to build some shutters for my window.
I like to know if there is a site that has the plans to teach how to build them. That is not as important because I took apart my brother's shutters and wrote down all the measurements already.
The main problem is buying the slab of woods. I did some research and I think this slab of wood has to be bass wood type. Home Depot and Lowes does not carry them. I live in the Southern California area.

You might look in the yellow pages for Lumber and Lumber Suppliers and call around looking for the wood you want.
