Hi:

I posted previously under the heading "Can my hemlock tree be rescued"? I should have noted at that point that it is not a Canadian hemlock, which as Chris Fite pointed out, is subject to adelgid infestation.

Today I took a sample of my blighted hemlock tree foliage to a well-regarded landscaping supply store, where the owner took a look at it, and said he'd never seen this particular syndrome. He recommended I take it to Rutgers University Agricultural Extension, which I am going to do, but in the meantime, I'm asking the forum whether anyone knows a fungicide for hemlocks ...

(Or... does the particular fungus first have to be identified before a suitable fungicide can be found... hmmm... duhhh...)

Will greatly 'preciate advice on this subject.

P.S. Attached is a .jpg pic of the blighted foliage.
