I have a lennox a/c and it has always worked fine until the other day when i noticed the breaker was tripped so i tried to reset it but every time it would just blow the breaker. Any idea what might be the problem. I tried replacing the breaker but got the same result. I also checked for proper grounding and loose coneections evrything was good.

You've got a direct short. Could be anything from compressor, fan motor, capacitor. If you have a multi-meter and the know how the short can be found if not it would be money well spent to call service tech.

i agree with mattison. get a tech out there, he can diagnose it and may deduct the service call fee with the repair, especially if it is the compressor. be sure to look under the cover of the compressor itself, as often the problem is at the compressor terminals.
