I have a heat pump and all of sudden it just stopped cooling and started heating even though thermostat is set cool. Does anyone have any idea of what the problem might be

I think You should call a HVAC tech here MY first guess would be that you could have lost the four way valve on the unit if everything else is ok. A lot of the heat pumps are set up that if the valve fails it is in the heat mode. Or ring it out and see if any of the heat strips are on.;) ED
