When I made my raised bed for strawberries i also planted some green beans and snow peas around the edge. Now that they are actually growing and have reached 5-6 inches and still standing up quite proudly, I'm wondering how much longer I should wait before giving them some sort of support. When I planted them I had planned on letting them cling to the chain link fence along the back of the bed but now I don't know if they are going to reach it before they need support.

Side note: So far as I can figure they're going to have to double the size they are now before they will make the fence.
