My wife and I had a very small bathroom with a pedestal sink. Someone had the forethought to put shelves on the walls. They were simple and open. My wife decided to put small baskets on these shelves which is where we stored our toiletries. The baskets kept everything tidy and were much nicer to look at than loose toilitries. In addition, the space was more "roomy" than it would have been had we decided to install some sort of cabinet. It worked great, looked nice, and was very inexpensive.
