I'm about to gut my bathroom(circa 1974. There's been a water leak which rotted out the floor(ceramic tile) and the subfloor clear into the crawlspace. I believe the bottom of one maybe two wall studs are also damaged from the leak. I don't plan on salvaging any fixtures or tiling as the are very outdated so what should my plan of attack be? I'm a moderately abled do-it-yourselfer. Thanks

First thing I would do is to sister in a couple of new studs before I tried to remove the damaged units. This could turn out to be a long process depending upon what is on the other side of the studs. Hopefully, the water hasen't damaged the cross members under the flooring. If so, you'll have to replace them too. Again, sister in new boards going as far back as needed to properly support the bathroom floor.
Once you've replaced all the structural members, then and only then replace the sub floor.
