Tom: Thanks for your earlier suggestion. Looking at the drum I have the following question. Is there a front and rear? If so how can you tell the difference. Examing the drum it appears that one front has a flanges type felt. The other side appears square cut. Could I assume the flange side is the rear?
Something that might be useful, I noticed the drum has 0.75" hole at each location where the drum baffle is bolted. Does the hole belong in the front or rear? Right now it's located to the the front.

Hello: mewalkerny
Most likely the side of the drum that has the inner flat surface faces the door. The flange should ride on the glider pads installed on the door flange.
The back side should have the marks where the belt turned on it. The inside of this side will not have the flange since it rides on rollers which support the drum externally.
Not sure about those holes and still may not be even if you attempted to further explain them. Your explaination and any other further info on the holes may not provide me with the answer.
If the drum is supported correctly back and front and rotates noise free and smoothly, than I would assume it is installed correctly.

This topic brings up a good point I attempt to make often. Always make note of how each part is installed prior to it's removal. Doing so makes reassembly much easier...:)
