Hello all,

I was given this 32 inch bigscreen and the color is distorted. It gives off a reddish color and all images and words have a blue shadow that follows. I have'nt a clue what needs to be done. Its a Mitsubishi VS-410R, about 5 years old.

You can try turning up the master screen a bit but It wont cure it. What you are seeing is a weak picture tube. There are pictures of problems on our web site.

I did some small research and read that I might be in need of a convergence for my projection tv. I followed the steps and found all the knobs on the board but found no switch that would bring up the white lines on the tv. What should I do?

You can play with the convergence if you want, but that redish tint means you have a weak tube. Chances are you'll never get a good grey scale and never be totally happy. You can mark the initial settings on the controls and then see there effect. If you want the convergence listings, you'll have to go to our web site.

I'll bet that one of the Convergence IC's has failed.
The IC will run you $40.00 or so plus another $200.00 to get it replaced.

I called a couple of technicians and one said my green tube is weak. Can it be adjusted or can the convergence IC's be adjusted also?
