Hi Guys:
My mirror is hung but it is not flat on the wall (slanted out at top an inch or so)l, Anyway it is way to heavy to take down. The mirror is plain. No frame. Beveled edges. Is there anything I can do to spruce it up? Thanks: BettyKato

I think that you may have a VERY intriguing mirror. Plain, no frame, beveled edges, and heavy ...... hmmm, do you know how old it is?

Actually I have some questions; how does it hang from the wall, cleats or hooks, or wires? Is it rectangular, an oval, an ellipse, or some other shape, and about what size is it (height and width)? How was it silvered; tin and mercury or silver nitrate? Does it have solid wood backing, a thick cardboard or paper, or metal? Is it "wavey" and have distortions in the glass, or is is clear; and finally does it have any brass plates or stencils, or brandings on it that indicate where it was made and by whom?

I'm asking because plain, frameless, heavy and beveled edges are some of the keywords suggesting age and value, so more information could better define that possibility, and any changes you might make to it could reduce it's value.

Drape some silk vines across the top of the mirror and let them drape down along the sides. I agree that anything you might do to the mirror, if it is old and of value, would decrease its value.
