We just purchased a secondhand Toshiba 31" (1992 model) color tv. The owner had it in storage for 2 years. He was consolidating 2 homes into 1 and couldn't keep this tv even though he wanted to do so.
Problem: we have a nice black horizontal line at the bottom of the screen - it keeps getting bigger - almost 4" now. The people on tv look like they are in a 'funny mirror" in a fun house - really short legs!
I discovered on another site that this is called vertical sweep. The problem is : how to fix it????? I'm wondering if something jiggled or came loose in the transporting of the t.v. I don't think the owner was aware of any problem with the tv. We also don't have the original remote for the tv and the generic brand remote doesn't always work with this one (i.e. volume control, on/off)
any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!
thanks!

I'v got the cure. It's not a major repair. Look on the back and get the model number and drop me an email.
