I am planning on replacing the 20 year old shower hardware. I have removed all the walls and before I put replace the walls and tile, it was suggested that I replace the hardware.
What will my problems be and is it better to sweat weld the fixtures? It is a single handle piece.

With everthing exposed sweating the new fixtures in is much easier. I prefer this method myself. The only advise I can suggest at this point is since you are doing most of the work yourself, purchase the best possible components available.
