I'VE INSTALLED A 30'-0" ROUND ABOVEGROUND POOL. I CAN'T AFFORD A COMPLETE DECK AROUND THE WHOLE POOL SO I WILL PROBABLY DO IT IN QUADRANTS. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FRAME THIS "BOOGER"! BEAMS AT 45 DEGREE ANGLES? EXTRA POSTS?
WOULD 2'-0" CANTILEVER BE O.K. W/ 2x8 BEAMS AND 2x6 FRAMING 16" O.C. ? DECK WILL PROJECT OUT 8'-0" FROM EDGE OF POOL. HELP!!!

DOUBLE 2X8's for the beams, 2X6 joists are fine. How far to space the joists will be determined by what you use for the decking and whether you run it square to the joists or diagonally. A 2' cantilever would be OK, but I would probably cut it down to 18" on each side of the beam and space the beams about 5' apart. Don't span more than 5' between the posts. Building it in sections is fine -- just make sure each new section get tied to the previous.
