I am in the process of planning a small (140 sq ft.) stone walkway. All of the quarries around here charge a minimum per load so I was wondering whether it's a good or bad idea to use stone dust as the base and leveling agent instead of using crushed stone as the base and stone dust as the leveling agent? This would save us a lot of money, however I'm unsure of the pros and cons.
Thanks,
Greg

Is there seriously nobody on this board with any comment on this? Or did I ask a stupid question?
My main concerns are drainage an preventing cracks and deformation caused from the freeze/thaw cycles.
Any comments at all????
Thanks.
